Providence Project Earns Prestigious ACI Louisiana Chapter Award; Exceptional Concrete Usage

The Loyola Drive/Interstate 10 Interchange to New Airport Terminal (LANOIA) project has earned the prestigious American Concrete Institute (ACI) Louisiana Chapter 2024 Bridge Project Award for its exceptional use of concrete. The project’s innovative design and construction, featuring extensive precast and cast-in-place concrete elements, were key factors in receiving this recognition. In addition to the ACI  Louisiana Chapter Award, the project has been submitted for consideration in the national award categories. This achievement highlights the project’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovative construction techniques. Providence Construction Quality Control Manager, John "Bert" Wintz, PE, was in attendance to support the project and award along with Providence Engineering Principal, Gary Leonards, PE, and Project Manager, Barry Lacy, PE.
