Providence Awarded LA DOTD I-10 Corridor Improvements Study

2/4/2012

Providence and a team of subconsultants are now under contract to complete an I-10 Corridor Study which is currently in Stage 0 of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LA DOD) Project Development Process. The purpose of the corridor study is to identify system deficiencies contributing to congestion patterns throughout the I-10 corridor from west of the Mississippi River to the I-10/I-12 split. Concepts to address these system deficiencies will be developed as part of a comprehensive public initiative that captures public input in advance of, during, and after alternative development. The feasibility of these concepts will be analyzed and documented as part of a Stage 0 Report prepared in accordance with DOTD guidelines. Upon completion, this information will be used as a starting point to begin the environmental review process required as part of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).
